Rahul Sahgal (President & CEO) ANNIK Inc., was invited at the NASSCOM – For a breakfast meeting with Hon'ble Chief Ministers of two prominent states Punjab and Haryana to discuss growth & sustainability of IT enabled services. He was also invited as a Panel Speaker at NASSCOM’s The Changing Landscape: Creating new trends and opportunities 2008 event held in Chandigarh on August 7. Being a panel speaker he highlighted - Emerging trends and opportunities in niche BPO.
The event proved to be an important strategic discussion platform and was covered by “The Times of India” where Rahul said that “the KPO (knowledge process outsourcing) is emerging area but skill shortage is the key challenge in this domain”.
He also cited case studies, and highlighted areas of growth in future services that Indian-KPO's can offer. He explained that with the explosion of consumer-generated media, citizen journalists and consumer empowerment, opinion research is becoming an increasingly important building block of communications strategies. In developed countries it is emerging as the best way to take the pulse of the target audience and then shape messaging accordingly.
